POEMS: Propagation des Ondes, Étude Mathématique et Simulation

The scientific activities of the POEMS team are aimed at developing mathematical and numerical studies of wave propagation in all fields of mechanics and physics, and for all types of waves, including electromagnetic, acoustic, elastic or gravitational waves. Our contributions are the derivation of new models (usually governed by partial differential equations), their mathematical analysis, and finally the development and implementation of numerical methods for their approximation.
